In a duel of $99 putters, Luke Donald wielded an Odyssey White Hot XG #7 en route to upsetting Martin Kaymer on Sunday and winning the Accenture Match Play tournament. Also known as "The Fang," the Odyssey White Hot XG #7 putter is a progressive mallet with two weighted fang-like protrusions along the rear of the heel and toe. It features the White Hot XG insert, which Odyssey calls its "softest and most responsive" insert.
Luke Donald's putter appears to be a customized with a darker finish than the standard retail version.
Meanwhile, Martin Kaymer's putter is a PING Anser 2, which carries the same $99 price tag as Donald's White Hot XG #7. Between them, Kaymer and Donald won more than $2 million this week. That's a pretty nice return on their putter investments.
Donald isn't the only golfer to rock the "white hot" magic lately. Graeme McDowell used an older White Hot #7 to win last year's U.S. Open, while Stuart Appelby won the most recent Greenbrier Classic with a White Hot 330.

Are you absolutely sure? Could it possibly be the White ICE #7 which IS darker and slightly larger than the "Fang"?
It's possible, but my understanding is that it was a White Hot XG#7. The tour pros get to trick out their putters, so it wouldn't surprise me if it's just an XG with a custom finish.
I think it is a White Hot Tour #7, from a couple of years back...which had a darker, bronze color finish...(?)

It must be a prototype. The white hot XG has a red emblem on the face. Luke's is black. His also has "7H" stamped on the bottom. That would lead me to the White Hot Tour 7H, but I agree Luke's is not bronze.
It's none of the above. It is an "IX" model 7, from Japan.
It is the black series i number 7.
It's the White Hot XG #7H. It might have a black series grip, and even a different insert, but the head is the White Hot XG #7H. If they have different drivers, irons and other stuff made specially for them, why can't they have the putter?
