Cure Putters Steps Up

Another golf enterprise is aiming to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research, and this time it’s personal.

Indeed, Cure Putters has introduced the “Pink CX2” to help raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This limited-edition putter ($299) is now available via the Cure Putters web site and select PGA Superstores.

Most important, it’s a cause that goes right to the heart of the Cure Putters family, as explained by CEO Jim McCarthy: “My wife is a breast cancer survivor, so this is something that is very close to our hearts…Our hope is that in addition to the money we will raise, that we are giving golfers out there another way that they can show support for their loved ones that are battling breast cancer. Anything you can do to make someone smile and lift their spirits in tough times can really have a tremendous impact and help them stay positive.”

What a great sentiment.

As for the putter itself, the company says, “The Cure Classic Series CX2 delivers the incredible stability and forgiveness of a High MOI mallet in a visually stunning, traditional blade style putter.”

Cure Putters says that “a large portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which is the highest rated breast cancer organization in the United States, providing critical funding for cancer research worldwide.” You could say that it’s an especially fitting cause for a company named Cure.
