Jon Rahm Snags Farmers Title with Spider Limited Red Putter

Just when it looked like Patrick Rodgers might be primed to win the Farmers Insurance Open with the Odyssey Toulon Indianapolis mallet putter in hand, John Rahm surged through a crowded leaderboard today and took the title with his own colorful mallet: the TaylorMade Spider Limited Red putter.

Jon Rahm’s putter is the latest iteration of TaylorMade’s popular Spider line, featuring an all-red aluminum body whose “striking look” is claimed to provide “even more confidence on the green.” In other words, Ghost white and arachnid black are out, and red is in.

The TaylorMade Spider Limited Red putter also features a redesigned seamless crown as well as vibration dampening foam between the body and frame for enhanced feel and audio feedback. While it’s hard to buy into yet another Spider color scheme beyond mere aesthetic appeal, there’s no denying that the TaylorMade Spider putter has earned plenty of professional cred, as evidenced by yet another victory on the PGA Tour.

If you want one of Rahm’s (and Jason Day’s) putters for yourself, it will set you back $299.
