Tour Sticks: Matteo Manassero’s Putter

At the age of 20, Matteo Manassero became the youngest professional ever to win the BMW PGA Championship. He secured the title—and the $1 million winner’s purse—with a birdie on the fourth hole of a three-man playoff. Manassero hails from Italy, and is regarded as a potential superstar in the making.

Matteo Manassero’s putter is a Scotty Cameron GoLo 5. The GoLo 5 putter ($375) is a heel-shafted mid mallet that features Cameron’s Select weighting technology for optimal customized swingweight and feel.

The head is milled from soft 303 stainless steel. The design features a thick face and topline for a solid feel. It also features an aluminum sole plate with an internal ring that is designed to produce a “great mallet sound.”

Who should use it: Golfers seeking a robust yet clean-looking mallet with superior feel.
