Tour Sticks: Sergio Garcia’s Putter

Sergio_PutterSergio Garcia racked up an impressive final round at the British Open, sinking several crucial putts before coming up just short and finishing two shots off the pace of winner Rory McIlroy.

Sergio Garcia’s putter is a new TaylorMade Spider Mallet 2.0, a next-generation Spider model that will be released to the public in August according to TaylorMade Golf.

The 2.0 putter is similar to the original Spider Mallet pictured here, but features a differentiated color scheme, dialing back the white in favor of more black. A polished sole also adds a bit of extra flash to the 2.0 putters.

The Spider Mallet boasts high MOI for enhanced forgiveness, as well as a counterweighted grip for added stability through the stroke. Garcia’s putter, however, is outfitted with a blue oversized SuperStroke grip that fits is “claw grip” stroke method.
